I wanted to build an alternative to the traditional marketplace: a product where value did not depend on money, but on connecting two people who had something useful to offer each other.
The challenge was to bring listing, nearby discovery and negotiation into one simple experience, while providing enough trust and control for the swap to be completed inside the product.
